What this is

This is a private, self-hosted deployment of the open-source project Inbox Zero, operated by one individual for their own personal email accounts. It is not a commercial service, it has no other users, and no accounts other than the operator's own are connected to it.

What data is accessed

With the operator's explicit Google authorization, this application accesses the operator's own Gmail data in order to categorize, label, summarize, and organize their mail. This may include message metadata (sender, recipient, subject, timestamps, labels) and message content.

Where data is stored

All data is stored in a PostgreSQL database on a single private server controlled solely by the operator. Provider credentials are encrypted at rest. Nothing is stored on third-party analytics platforms, and no data is sold, rented, or shared with any third party.

Processing by AI models

To categorize and summarize mail, message content may be sent to a third-party large language model API for processing. The model provider processes this content solely to return a result to this application. No data is used to train third-party models.

Limited Use disclosure

This application's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide and improve the mail-organizing features described above. It is not transferred to others except as necessary to provide those features, is not used for advertising, and is not read by any human other than the operator.

Retention and deletion

The operator may revoke this application's access at any time via Google Account permissions. Because the operator is the sole user and the sole administrator of the server, they may delete all stored data at any time by destroying the database.
